Surface treatment: 1. Passivation. The passivation treatment of galvanized layer can reduce the corrosion (white rust) produced under the condition of damp and warm storage and transportation. But the corrosion resistance of this chemical treatment is limited and, moreover, prevents the adhesion of most coatings. This treatment is generally not in zinc iron alloy coating, in addition to the smooth surface, as a routine, the production plant on other types of galvanized layer are passivated.
2. oil. Oil coating can reduce the corrosion of steel plate under wet storage condition, and the oil coating of steel plate and steel strip after passivation treatment will further reduce the corrosion under wet storage condition. The oil layer should be able to be removed with a degreaser that does not damage the zinc layer.
3. Paint sealant. An additional protection against corrosion, especially fingerprint resistance, is provided by applying an extremely thin transparent organic coating film. It can improve lubricity when forming and serve as an adhesive bottom layer for subsequent coatings.
