A36 carbon steel coil cold rolled carbon steel strip galvanized steel strip
Steel is one of the most common metals used in structural applications. It is firm, tough, ductile, formable and weldable. It is important to understand the basic properties of the A36 steel used in the field because there are many different types of steel available, each with unique chemical and mechanical properties.
A36 steel is low carbon steel. Its carbon content is less than 0,3% by weight. Therefore, A36 steel is easy to process, weld and shape, and it is very useful as a general steel. Because of the low carbon content, heat treatment is not very effective for this steel. It usually contains small amounts of other alloy elements, such as manganese, sulfur, phosphorus and silicon. These elements are added to A36 steel to give the required chemical and mechanical properties. A36 steel does not contain a lot of nickel or chromium, so its corrosion resistance is low.
